I read (and listen to) many books at once. It is something that drives my husband crazy, but I get what I need out of them.
Most of my reading is non-fiction, but it covers a wide range of topics. This year, I have been reading a lot of BIPOC memoirs, philosophy, and skimming through lots of different gardening books. There have been lots of challenging topics that I have learned about. So, I am curious:
What book challenged you the most this year? Why?
This could be something that offered an interesting perspective, or helped you see something in a new light. I’ll drop mine in later this week after I think on it. Looking forward to reading yours!
I’ve haven’t been able to actually read a book for quite a while. I’m trying to catch up on all of my audible books. Right now I’m listening to 15 Laws of Invaluable Growth by John Maxwell.
My most challenging book was Love is the Way by Bishop Michael Curry. I deeply admire the strength it takes to lean into loving people, particularly when we live in very polarized times. We need each other and it was a necessary reminder that how we treat each other matters.
The book I'm working on and lessons from plants by beronda l Montgomery. Like botany 101
Wow, this sounds like a great read! I just added it to my wishlist!

I've read a few of his books, but had not seen this one! Thanks for sharing!

The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
That is a classic :) Any parts you are particularly drawn to currently?
Our congregation is currently reading book of Judges.
I was late reading Caste but finally got to it. Forever troubled, changed, and much more aware.
